Elf - The Musical Oklahoma reviews
Disappointed
I love Elf the movie and was really looking forward to the musical. I was disappointed at the many differences from the movie. Although the story line was basically the same- a few of the most memorable parts were missing. I do understand that it has to be adapted for theater but if you are a dedicated movie fan- just know that it will be different. Also, I was hoping it would have a little more familiar Christmas music in it. It was mostly music original to the musical so nothing familiar. Our showing had many children and please be aware there are a couple swear words if this concerns you. Many people were coming in late at our showing too which was very distracting. The positive points were: Great acting and great voices. The cast did an excellent job.
